COVER

COVER opens a metaphorical connection between the material and the metaphysical. The veiled marble body stands for transience, concealment and possible revelation. The enduring stone in its resting form refers to eternity, the ephemeral, and the relationship between body and mind.
The wax jacket on the coat stand, exposed to wind and weather, symbolises change. Wax reacts to heat and cold – a sign of transformation and transience.
In the juxtaposition of marble and wax, an ambivalence emerges that invites reflection on life, death and human experience.
