Concept<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work Let\u2019s talk<\/strong> visualizes the theme of peace.
War through armed force does not bring peace. The only path to peace is to talk to one another.
The work Let\u2019s talk<\/strong> is an invitation to enter into dialogue with one another and to seek solutions in times of conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A tension arises between the visual appearance of the sculpture and reality:
The chairs pushed up to the table are not movable \u2013 they are fixed in the stone.
The sculpture provides an impulse to reflect on peace and to engage in discussion about it \u2013 with philosophical depth, even in the very act of viewing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The table is depicted as a raw block of marble, bearing traces of drill holes. These vertical grooves are reminiscent of the folds of a tablecloth.
The rough depiction of the table symbolizes the harsh state of a conflict.
Through dialogue, this conflict will hopefully be transformed into a worked-out resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surface of the table is polished smooth, almost like glass, and represents an equal level \u2014 a \u201cclean table\u201d \u2014 as the basis for constructive discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metamorphosis
Marble is a metamorphic rock. Under high pressure and over a long period of time, it transformed into its crystalline structure.
A powerful symbolism on the theme of peace:
A metamorphic transformation from conflict to peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
